Trash/recyclables pickup for normal household garbage (i.e. kitchen trash, household items, etc.) and cardboard is every Thursday. The Town of Summerville requires items and garbage to be placed in trash cans provided by Carolina Waste.
- Garbage cans have BLACK lids. 
- Recycling cans have BLUE lids.
Trash containers must be stored out of view of the street or surrounding properties except on scheduled days for pickup.

Small yard waste (i.e. grass clippings, leaves, etc.) are picked up every Monday.
Large yard waste (i.e. tree branches, stumps, etc.) are picked up every Tuesday. 

Bulk waste (furniture, appliances, boards, fencing, etc.) is picked up by the Town once a month.
